The National Police has exposed a group that stole UAH 15.5 million, which was intended for the purchase of spare parts and repair of military equipment. According to the investigation, in 2024, the head of a private company organized a scheme of fictitious “competition” in tenders and inflated prices<\/strong> .<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the press service of the National Police.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The organizer involved several controlled legal entities to create the illusion of competition and make his offer the “best.” After winning the tender, he signed contracts with the military unit, supplied the goods at significantly inflated prices, and received payment on account.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The criminals divided the funds they received among themselves and spent them on their own needs.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

On November 27, law enforcement officers conducted 39 searches in Kyiv, Lviv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Sumy, Zhytomyr regions, and Kyiv. The officers seized documents and media that prove the involvement of the individuals involved in the scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The organizer and his accomplice were charged under Part 4 and Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. One of the suspects was detained and placed in a temporary detention center.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The investigation is ongoing under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General’s Office. The court will soon choose preventive measures.<\/span><\/p>\n

As previously reported, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine exposed a criminal group led by the head of the Housing and Utilities Department of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Strategic Investigations Department of the State Labor Service of the National Police exposed top officials of one of the interregional departments of the State Labor Service in a systematic bribery scheme.<\/a> The amount of bribes ranged from 1,500 hryvnias to 1,000 dollars.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
