According to Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Serhiy Derkach, the reform should bring road safety rules closer to European Union standards.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This is reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/cfts.org.ua\/articles\/zadacha_maksimum__zrobiti_transportniy_bezviz_z_es_bezstrokovim__intervyu_z_sergiem_derkachem_2169\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Central Statistical Office<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p> The government is considering the possibility of transitioning to full-fledged technical inspection of passenger cars, as well as abandoning the current system of certification of used cars.<\/p>\n<p> The Deputy Minister explained that currently technical inspection is mandatory only for trucks and buses, while in the European Union such requirements apply to all vehicles.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;This will be a difficult document politically, but we are working to get it done,&#8221; said Serhiy Derkach.<\/p>\n<p> In addition, it is planned to introduce roadside technical inspection. Inspection services will be able to stop cars on the roads and conduct a full check of their technical condition, as is already the case in European Union countries.<\/p>\n<p> The ministry is also preparing a bill that will change the approach to assessing used cars imported into Ukraine. The current certification system has been recognized as ineffective.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;We will change it to mandatory technical inspection.
