He listed key reforms and bodies formed in 2014\u20132019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> He wrote about this in <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TarasKuzio\/status\/1994543645223989715?t=0CDGsrwrZ3xKGgyugt6THQ&#038;s=09\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">X.<\/a><\/p>\n<p> The political scientist published a list of reforms that, according to him, were introduced by the team of the fifth president Petro Poroshenko. He noted that this concerns the creation of major anti-corruption bodies and related legislative changes.<\/p>\n<p> In the post, Kuzio wrote that Western media does not take into account the role of the previous government in forming the institutions that currently work in the field of combating corruption.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;Western media regularly continue to ignore the fact that Ukraine&#8217;s anti-corruption institutions were created during the time of Poroshenko in 2014-2019, which Zelensky has been trying to undermine since 2019,&#8221; Kuzio recalled.<\/p>\n<ol><\/p>\n<li> Reforms in public procurement through the ProZorro system, through which all public tenders were to be conducted.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Gas market reform, which led to the profitability of NJSC &#8220;Naftogaz of Ukraine&#8221;.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> The number of banks was significantly reduced, limiting the sector&#8217;s ability to launder money. PrivatBank was nationalized.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) was established, to which the investigative functions of the Prosecutor General&#8217;s Office were transferred.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> A Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor&#8217;s Office was established.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) was established to monitor and evaluate electronic declarations of civil servants in order to ensure greater transparency of their declared income and assets.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) was established to investigate crimes committed by high-ranking officials, judges, law enforcement officers, and individuals accused of war crimes. The SBI took over the pre-trial investigation functions from the Prosecutor&#8217;s Office.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court was created to bypass the judiciary by investigating cases of high-ranking officials.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> A Public Integrity Council, composed of civil society officials and experts, was established to screen and disqualify candidates for important judicial positions, such as the Supreme Court.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> A law on public procurement practices was adopted, and the law on public procurement was amended to facilitate the new electronic public procurement system ProZorro. In accordance with EU rules, all central authorities and state monopolies were obliged to switch to the ProZorro system, which will increase transparency in public procurement and lead to the elimination of one of the main areas of corruption.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Ukraine became the first country to join the Global Registry of Beneficial Owners, a pilot initiative by the German non-governmental organization Transparency International to disclose information about the ownership of companies and property.<\/li>\n<p><\/ol>\n<p> Recall that <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/poroshenko-zvernuvsia-do-zelenskoho-za-yermakom-maie-pity-i-iermakovshchyna\/\">Petro Poroshenko addressed President Volodymyr Zelensky with a tough statement<\/a> : after the resignation of Andriy Yermak, all the \u201cYermakists\u201d must go.
