Ukrainian defenders are testing new weapons that should improve their effectiveness in combating Russian guided aerial bombs (GABs).<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported<\/a> this following a monthly meeting on capability development.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The meeting addressed a wide range of issues, from strengthening air defense to improving the level of training at military educational institutions.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A military intelligence report described measures Russia is taking to increase the effectiveness of its missile and drone strikes. Specifically, the enemy has already used 138 Geranium rockets, most of which were successfully destroyed by Ukrainian air defenses.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Ukrainian forces are also working to reduce the effectiveness of Russian KABs. Between September and November, the Air Force’s anti-aircraft missile forces destroyed up to 100 of these aerial bombs. Now, defenders are testing new weapons that should significantly enhance their ability to counter these threats.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The meeting participants also discussed the introduction of the latest weapons systems\u2014attack UAVs and interceptor drones, ground-based robotic platforms, combat modules at robotic strongpoints, and additional electronic warfare systems.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Russia previously switched to serial production<\/a> of KABs with a range of up to 200 kilometers.<\/p>\n
