In Cherkasy, a woman driving under the influence of alcohol during the day hit three pedestrians, crashed into a parked car and ended up in a store. The police opened an investigation, the victims received medical assistance, and the driver was detained to clarify the circumstances.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the Cherkasy region police, a series of road accidents involving a woman were recorded in one of the city’s districts. She first hit a pedestrian, then ran over two more people, then crashed into a parked car and then rammed the facade of a store. Among the injured was a minor child.<\/p>\n

Police officers were at the scene. The driver refused to take a sobriety test.<\/p>\n

“The victims were provided with primary medical assistance. None of them required hospitalization, as the injuries were minor,” law enforcement officials reported.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was seized, and the driver was detained in accordance with the procedure established by law to establish all the circumstances of the accident. According to preliminary information, the woman was clearly intoxicated at the time of the accident.<\/p>\n

The police opened six administrative protocols under articles providing for liability for causing damage to vehicles, drunk driving, and leaving the scene of an accident.<\/p>\n
