Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the territorial issue is the most difficult part of the peace plan negotiations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During a press conference with French leader Emmanuel Macron, Zelensky was asked whether territorial concessions were discussed between the Ukrainian and American teams.<\/span><\/p>\n

“First of all, there were meetings both yesterday and today. There were several sessions of meetings, the last one just ended – about half an hour ago or a little more, when Emmanuel and I connected with the negotiators by phone. Meetings are a process, it is not over yet. To be honest, the territorial issue is the most difficult one,” the president replied.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, according to him, among the sensitive topics in the negotiations are the restoration of Ukraine and security guarantees.<\/span><\/p>\n

“To make it roughly clear: there were six and a half hours of talks on the issue of the different nature of different areas. (…) That is, negotiations are underway, negotiators from the United States of America have shared their visions with us, and they want to share these visions (ed.) with the Russian side,” Zelensky said.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that the Ukrainian delegation is sharing feedback with him after negotiations on the peace plan.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Trump administration’s ceasefire plan provides for the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions<\/a> , as well as the freezing of the contact line in the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.<\/p>\n

Earlier, US President Donald Trump approved a plan for a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia<\/a> , which consists of 28 points.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that after the negotiations between the Ukrainian and American delegations in Geneva, the US peace plan for Ukraine underwent significant changes.<\/a><\/p>\n

As is known, Ukraine has given preliminary consent to the American peace proposal<\/a> to end the war, but the process is being slowed down by the complete lack of reaction from Russia.<\/p>\n

By the way, Volodymyr Zelenskyy is ready to meet with Donald Trump in the United States<\/a> to complete the draft peace agreement.<\/p>\n
