Co-chair of the “European Solidarity” Iryna Gerashchenko stated in the Verkhovna Rada that the “servants of the people” have not learned from their mistakes. She explained why the opposition is blocking the rostrum and making demands on the leadership of the parliament.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gerashchenko says that six years ago, the monomajority effectively allowed Bankova to run both parliament and government. She insists that the dismissal of Yermak and several ministers did not resolve the political crisis, because the “Yermakivshchyna” and “MinDich” schemes remained in state institutions.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The politician criticizes the session’s agenda. She claims that there are no solutions for the army, but in the draft budget for 2026, the authorities left “a thousand roubles”, cashback, one and a half billion for a telethon, and 4 billion for “strategic communications”. Gerashchenko claims that the authorities use these funds to support “their own” and for Telegram channels that attack the opposition.<\/p>\n

The opposition demands that Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk recognize that the monomajority no longer exists and begin forming a coalition and a government of national salvation. Gerashchenko emphasizes that it is the parliament, not Bankova, that should influence the formation of the government. She adds that Zelensky is responsible for the army, the front, and diplomacy.<\/p>\n

The politician says that the factions should meet with Zelensky. The opposition wants to hear from him, and not from foreign media or Russian channels, what is happening with the peace talks, what territories are being discussed, and who is discussing possible elections outside parliament.<\/p>\n

Gerashchenko calls the 2026 budget the main test. She argues that the government did not increase payments to the military, but increased spending on the Office of the President. The opposition has already submitted to Svyrydenko proposals on where to find 300 billion hryvnias for the army.<\/p>\n

According to Gerashchenko, the way out of the political crisis is to return the subjectivity of the parliament and the accountability of the government to the people’s deputies.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Petro Poroshenko, during a speech from the parliament rostrum, called for the release of all those involved in the Mindichgate corruption scandal.<\/a><\/p>\n
