The planned negotiations between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the American delegation, which was supposed to arrive in Brussels after a visit to Moscow, will not take place.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Euronews correspondent Alex Rafoglou writes<\/a> about this, citing several of his own sources.<\/p>\n

According to him, the President of Ukraine is returning to Kyiv, and the meeting in the Belgian capital itself was canceled without explanation.<\/p>\n

Information about possible negotiations appeared the day before – Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported that US special representative Steve Witkoff and the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner planned to come to Europe after negotiations in Moscow, where a meeting with Zelensky was to take place.<\/p>\n

Against this background, Rafoglu also drew attention to the statement of Kremlin advisor Yuri Ushakov, who claimed that the Americans had allegedly promised the Russian side not to go to Kyiv, but to immediately return to Washington.<\/p>\n

Recall that Russia refuses to compromise on key issues of peace talks<\/a> , which concern Donbas, the size of the Ukrainian army, and recognition of occupied territories. The Kremlin insists that these positions are fundamental for it.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, a meeting between Donald Trump’s special representative Stephen Witkoff, White House adviser Jared Kushner and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has concluded in Moscow<\/a> . The meeting lasted about five hours.<\/p>\n
