A tragic incident occurred in Lviv: while performing official duties, one of the servicemen of the territorial recruitment center received a fatal knife wound. The victim, a combat veteran, died in the hospital the next morning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The incident was reported by<\/a> the West Operational Command.<\/p>\n

On December 3, the mobile alert group of the Halytskyi-Frankivsk RTCC and SP conducted official activities accompanied by law enforcement officers. While performing the task, they encountered a man who refused to identify himself, present documents, and began to behave aggressively.<\/p>\n

According to the command, he ignored legal requirements, provoked conflict, and obstructed the work of the military. All the group’s actions were recorded on video recorders.<\/p>\n

During the incident, a citizen stabbed one of the soldiers in the thigh, damaging an artery. The ATO veteran was immediately hospitalized, but despite the efforts of doctors, he died on the morning of December 4 due to critical blood loss.<\/p>\n

The Attorney General’s Office said the suspect, a 30-year-old man, was detained. Investigators recovered the knife used to inflict the injury at the scene.<\/p>\n

Criminal proceedings have been initiated on the facts of intentional grievous bodily harm committed against a person in connection with his official activities, which led to the death of the victim (Part 2 of Article 121 and Part 3 of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n

Prosecutors are preparing a report of suspicion and a petition to the court to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention.<\/p>\n

As reported, in Ivano-Frankivsk region, an officer used force against a man who refused to undergo a fluorography examination<\/a> . The head of the CCC repeatedly hit him – at least five times. As a result of the beating, the victim received serious injuries that led to the need for surgical removal of one of his organs.<\/p>\n
