Party leader Poroshenko responded to the morning shelling of Ukrainian cities. He called for a radical overhaul of budget policy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Petro Poroshenko stated on social media that in the morning, when children were supposed to be unwrapping gifts, they were hiding from Russian missiles that were targeting civilian infrastructure and energy facilities in several regions.<\/p>\n

“Therefore, the Ukrainian authorities should adopt not a ‘Mindichev’ budget, as they have for the past six years, but a budget for a country at war. A budget that includes space for their own developments to protect Ukrainian skies,” the party leader emphasized.<\/p>\n

He believes it’s necessary to forego funding for the marathon and raise salaries for security forces. All freed-up funds should be used to support those “whom Putin, without exaggeration, fears most\u2014the Armed Forces.”<\/p>\n

Poroshenko emphasized that the arrivals were recorded in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Volyn, Lviv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia regions, demonstrating a genuine “readiness for dialogue” on the part of the aggressor.<\/p>\n
