The US said that further progress towards a peace agreement now depends on Russia. The State Department and White House special envoy Steve Whitkoff issued a joint statement after talks with the Ukrainian delegation, which took place on December 5 in Florida.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

U.S. and Ukrainian officials agreed on a framework for future security guarantees and deterrence measures to ensure lasting peace after a potential deal.
