On December 6, as a result of another Russian strike, a large-scale fire broke out in Dnipro, completely destroying the central warehouse of the Med-Service pharmacy chain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by<\/a> the founder of the Biosphere Corporation, Andriy Zdesenko.<\/p>\n

According to him, the warehouse, built only last year, supplied medicines to over 500 pharmacies in different regions of Ukraine. The fire engulfed the building upon arrival, and the premises were virtually completely burned down.<\/p>\n

The Russian army continues to purposefully attack civilian infrastructure \u2014 this time effectively destocking one of the country’s largest pharmacy chains.<\/p>\n

The consequences of the fire and possible disruptions in the supply of medicines are currently being clarified.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on October 25, the central warehouse of the pharmaceutical distributor Optima-Pharm in the Kyiv region was targeted by Russian shelling.<\/a> The warehouse held about 20% of Ukraine’s monthly supply of medicines, which creates a real threat of a temporary shortage of drugs in the capital and the region.<\/p>\n

As reported, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine does not expect a shortage of medicines after the Russian strike on the warehouse of the Optima-Pharm company<\/a> in Kyiv, one of the largest distributors in the country.<\/p>\n
