In the Khmelnytskyi region, a 48-year-old man was sentenced to life imprisonment for raping his minor stepdaughter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by<\/a> the Khmelnytskyi region police.<\/p>\n

The events took place in 2022, when the girl was still 11 years old. While his wife was at work, the attacker took advantage of the child’s helpless state (usually the girl was sleeping) and raped her several times over the course of a year.<\/p>\n

Eventually, the child told her mother everything, and she filed a complaint with the police. The perpetrator was detained. By the way, he had already been held criminally liable before. During the search, illegal cartridges and gunpowder were also found on the man.<\/p>\n

Police investigators completed the investigation and submitted the materials to the court in April 2023. The perpetrator tried his best to delay the proceedings, did not admit his guilt, and tried to avoid responsibility.<\/p>\n

Recently, the court completed the consideration of the criminal proceedings, found the man guilty under Parts 4, 6 of Article 152 (Repeated Rape of a Person Under 14 Years of Age) and Part 1 of Article 263 (Illegal Handling of Ammunition and Explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and sentenced him to life imprisonment.<\/p>\n

As reported, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko stated that those involved in committing particularly serious crimes against children should receive only the harshest punishment – life imprisonment.<\/a><\/p>\n
