US President Donald Trump stated that he believes it’s time for Ukraine to hold presidential elections. He made this statement in an interview with the White House.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said<\/a> this in an interview with the White House, as quoted by Politico.<\/p>\n

According to Trump, a lot of time has passed since the last election, and the situation in Ukraine, in his opinion, is not developing very well.<\/p>\n

“It’s been a long time… Yes, I think it’s time. I think now is an important time to hold elections,” he said, responding to a journalist’s questions about the Ukrainian elections.<\/p>\n

Trump also claims that Ukrainian authorities are “using war to avoid holding elections,” but he believes Ukrainians should be able to vote.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“And maybe Zelensky would have won. I don’t know who would have won. But elections haven’t been held there for a long time. You know, they talk about democracy, but it’s getting to the point where it’s not democracy,” the American leader added.<\/p>\n
