The cost of a traditional Christmas table in 2025 has practically not increased and is 1,374 UAH according to average prices in Ukrainian supermarkets as of early December. Last year’s figure was 1,365 UAH.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by<\/a> the Institute of Agrarian Economics.<\/p>\n

Experts attribute the stabilization of prices to a record harvest of borscht, thanks to which the prices of potatoes, carrots, cabbage, onions, and beets have more than halved.<\/p>\n

Instead, a number of other products have become more expensive, including:<\/p>\n

oil \u2014 +26.7%<\/p>\n

frozen cherries \u2014 +25.7%<\/p>\n

barrel cucumbers \u2014 +25.2%<\/p>\n

white beans \u2014 +18.3%<\/p>\n

flour \u2014 +17.5%<\/p>\n

carp \u2014 +12.6%<\/p>\n

fresh tomatoes \u2014 +12.5%<\/p>\n

Kutia \u2014 213.37 UAH<\/p>\n

This is the second most expensive dish. The most expensive ingredients are:<\/p>\n

poppy seeds \u2014 72.50 UAH for 200 g<\/p>\n

walnuts \u2014 68.80 UAH<\/p>\n

raisins \u2014 24.99 UAH per 100 g<\/p>\n

Wheat groats cost 26.90 UAH per 400 g, honey \u2014 18.70 UAH per 100 g.<\/p>\n

The most expensive dish is fried carp \u2014 346.02 UAH<\/p>\n

2 kg of live fish will cost 339 UAH, flour – 7.02 UAH.<\/p>\n

Uzvar \u2014 118 UAH<\/p>\n

A set of dried apples, pears and prunes (600 g).<\/p>\n

Lean borscht \u2014 107.79 UAH<\/p>\n

The most expensive ingredient is dry white beans (51.50 UAH).<\/p>\n

Vinaigrette \u2014 49.77 UAH<\/p>\n

The main share of the cost is formed by barrel cucumbers – 26.80 UAH.<\/p>\n

The most expensive mushrooms \u2014 45.35 UAH.<\/p>\n
