The Christmas tree sales season began in December \u2014 Ukrainians are massively buying evergreen trees, which are one of the symbols of the New Year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As<\/span> TSN reports<\/span><\/a> , more and more Christmas tree fairs are appearing in Kyiv, however, prices are also rising.<\/span><\/p>\n

Compared to last year, the cost of one tree has increased by 10%. Currently, prices at fairs vary from 1,700 hryvnias to 2,500 hryvnias. In some places in the capital’s markets, you can find a Christmas tree for even 6,000 hryvnias.<\/span><\/p>\n

A more economical option for a New Year tree would be pine trees, the cost of one starts at 500 hryvnias.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can buy fir trees and pine trees much cheaper from foresters. In particular, in the Zhytomyr region, a plantation of over 14 thousand units is being grown on an area of almost 2 hectares.<\/span><\/p>\n

The prices for all coniferous trees are approximately the same – from 150 hryvnias to 1,000 hryvnias for a five-meter beauty.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among other things, you can buy a Christmas tree in a pot, which comes in various sizes and price categories, the cost of some can reach 4,000 hryvnias.<\/span><\/p>\n

An alternative to live plants is an artificial tree. They are more durable, stable, and do not require special care. The cheapest options cost 200-300 hryvnias, but this is not the limit, and prices can reach tens of thousands.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was previously reported that the cost of a traditional Christmas table in 2025 has practically not increased<\/a> and is UAH 1,374 at average prices in Ukrainian supermarkets.<\/p>\n
