According to the government, all major institutions are already equipped with autonomous power sources and fuel reserves.

This approach will allow:

transfer additional megawatts to residential consumers;

reduce the duration and depth of schedules;

stabilize the power system during peak consumption hours;

avoid uncontrolled emergency shutdowns.

The Cabinet of Ministers admits that the decision is not easy, but necessary, given the scale of Russian attacks on the energy sector and damage to key generating enterprises.

Why do they do this?

The energy system continues to operate in conditions of shortage. During peak hours, the country lacks up to several gigawatts of electricity, and some regions operate on tight schedules.

Temporarily switching critical infrastructure to generators should allow for “unloading” the system and returning more hours of light to people.

The government emphasizes that monitoring of generator operation will be intensified, and priority fuel supplies are provided for life support services.

Recall that the Government held a coordination meeting on stabilizing the energy system after the latest Russian strikes.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , Twitter , Telegram , and Instagram.

Ukraine is preparing for a new stage of energy saving: the government has decided to temporarily disconnect even critical infrastructure from the power grid.
