Kazakhstan will supply crude oil to China directly from the Kashagan field for the first time after Ukrainian drones struck the Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal in Russia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported<\/span><\/a> by Reuters.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Russian facility accounted for 1% of the world’s crude oil supply, but was forced to reduce output after a drone attack damaged a key part of its loading infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kazakhstan will now supply crude oil to China via the Atasu-Alashankou pipeline. The companies are expected to transport 50,000 tons of oil via this route.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the request of Reuters, the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan confirmed information about the search for additional routes for oil, as previously most of the raw materials were transported using the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The incident at the CPC sea terminal did not lead to a complete halt in exports… The Ministry, together with producers, is working on redistributing volumes and increasing the use of alternative routes,” the department said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier, the Foreign Ministries of Kazakhstan and Turkey expressed protest and concern<\/a> over the recent attacks on the oil terminal in the port of Novorossiysk and sanctioned Russian tankers in the Black Sea.<\/p>\n
