In Priluki, Chernihiv Oblast, a patrol police car struck two people at a pedestrian crossing, killing a child and injuring a woman.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the police of the Chernihiv region.<\/p>\n

According to preliminary reports, the response team was responding to a call in a company Mitsubishi Outlander with its flashing lights on. The patrol officers struck a woman and a child at a controlled pedestrian crossing. Further details of the accident have not yet been released.<\/p>\n

The officers in the police car were suspended from duty. Deputy Chief of the National Police Serhiy Kobets and the leadership of the Main Inspectorate Department responded to the scene.<\/p>\n

The State Bureau of Investigation will be handling the investigation into the fatal accident.<\/p>\n
