A guy was detained in Kyiv who, for a reward, collected and transmitted data about energy facilities located in the capital.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported by<\/span><\/a> the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.<\/span><\/p>\n

He turned out to be a 21-year-old resident of the Khmelnytskyi region, who met a representative of the military intelligence of the Russian General Staff on a social network in the fall.<\/span><\/p>\n

His task was to collect and transmit to the Russians data on the location of military facilities and thermal power plants in Kyiv.<\/span><\/p>\n

Law enforcement officers detained the suspect near one of the capital’s thermal power plants while he was filming the facility on behalf of the enemy.<\/span><\/p>\n

As noted, after his detention, the young man asked to be included in the exchange list and sent to Russia.<\/span><\/p>\n

The defendant was charged with treason committed during martial law. He faces 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.<\/span><\/p>\n

The court has already chosen a preventive measure in the form of arrest for the suspect.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier, the SBU and the National Police detained two foreigners<\/a> who were recruited by the Russian GRU to commit arson in western Ukraine.<\/p>\n

As a reminder,the SBU detained a Russian corrections officer in Bukovina<\/span><\/a> who was preparing new Russian strikes on Chernivtsi.<\/span><\/p>\n
