The decision is to be made during a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This is reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurointegration.com.ua\/news\/2025\/12\/15\/7227124\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;European Truth&#8221;<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p> Before the start of the EU Council meeting, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaia Kallas, announced the preparation of a corresponding decision.<\/p>\n<p> She said the sanctions would apply to additional vessels in Russia&#8217;s shadow fleet, as well as individuals who facilitate their activities.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;We will make a decision today on the shadow fleet vessels. We have 40 additional vessels, as well as their manuals,&#8221; said Kaia Kallas.<\/p>\n<p> According to her, such steps are aimed at limiting Russia&#8217;s financial capabilities.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;These actions are being taken to deprive Russia of the means to finance this war,&#8221; added Kaia Kallas.<\/p>\n<p> Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/zelenskyy-vviv-sanktsii-proty-656-suden-rosiyskoho-tinovoho-flotu\/\">Zelensky signed a decree on the implementation of the NSDC decision to impose sanctions against 656 naval vessels that are part of Russia&#8217;s so-called &#8220;shadow fleet.&#8221;<\/a> This is the largest sanctions package ever imposed against this part of the Russian fleet.<\/p>\n<p> As a reminder, on Tuesday, November 25, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree introducing new sanctions.
