On the night of December 17, drones attacked several regions of Russia, including Krasnodar Krai, where an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban was hit. The city was under air defense, and local residents reported a series of explosions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Russian Telegram channels, at least 18 explosions were heard in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, after which a fire broke out on the territory of the refinery. Monitoring resources also reported a fire at the plant, but there is currently no official information on the extent of damage to the facility.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Russian sources confirm the consequences of the attack on civilian infrastructure. According to them, drone debris damaged at least five private houses – their windows were broken and roofs were damaged, and power outages were also recorded. Two people were reported injured.<\/p>\n

In addition to Slavyansk-on-Kuban, drones attacked Saratov and nearby Engels, home to a Russian strategic aviation base that has been repeatedly targeted in the past. Local residents reported at least a dozen explosions in the area.<\/p>\n

Drone strikes were also recorded in Yeisk, Krasnodar Territory, where a large air base and flight training facilities are located.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that Russian air defense allegedly intercepted and destroyed 94 aircraft-type drones over six regions and the waters of the Black and Azov Seas. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, 31 drones were shot down over the Krasnodar Territory, 22 over the Rostov Region, 10 over the Voronezh Region, 8 over the Saratov Region, and some over the Volgograd and Bryansk Regions, as well as over sea waters.<\/p>\n

The Russian authorities have not yet provided any official comments regarding the damage to the oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of December 12 , drones attacked the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl, Russia.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, Russian oil prices have fallen to their lowest level<\/a> since the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
