On the night of December 19, Russian drones attacked seven regions of the Russian Federation, causing power outages in the Oryol and Rostov regions and a fire at the Togliattiazot plant in Togliatti.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by Russian media.<\/p>\n

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, air defense systems allegedly intercepted and destroyed 94 Ukrainian drones. In particular, 36 were shot down over the Rostov region, 17 over the Belgorod region, 15 over the Voronezh region, six each over the Samara and Astrakhan regions, and the rest over the Kursk, Krasnodar regions, and maritime areas.<\/p>\n

In the Oryol region, drones attacked a thermal power plant. Governor Andriy Klychkov reported that this could lead to disruptions in heat, electricity and hot water in the city of Oryol. According to him, emergency crews are already working on the ground, and there are no injuries. Due to the shutdown of heat and water supply in the Sovietsky district, classes in schools and kindergartens were suspended.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a fire broke out at the Togliattiazot (TOAZ) plant in the Samara region. Local residents report that the road to the plant is blocked. TOAZ is one of the world’s largest ammonia producers.<\/p>\n

In Rostov Oblast, a drone attack also caused damage to civilian facilities and caused power outages. Governor Yuriy Slyusar noted that power supply was interrupted in residential buildings of Bolgarstroy and industrial consumers of the Western Industrial Zone. There are also problems with electricity in the Nedvigovka farm and the village of Zaimo-Obriv. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

Russian officials emphasize that the attacks are controlled by air defense forces, but the consequences of the drones’ actions have been felt by residents of several regions of the country.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of December 18, the Rostov region of the Russian Federation was attacked by drones. Rostov-on-Don, Bataysk, and Taganrog were hit.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, on the night of December 17, drones attacked several regions of Russia, including the Krasnodar Territory, where an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban was hit<\/a> . Air defenses were in place in the city, and local residents reported a series of explosions.<\/p>\n
