The upcoming weekend will bring a noticeable temperature contrast to Ukraine: the eastern regions will experience persistent frosts for the first time this season, while the west and south will remain in the plus temperature zone. On Sunday, which coincides with the winter solstice, the cold will ease somewhat.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This forecast was provided by<\/a> Sinoptik.ua forecasters, Ukrinform reports.<\/p>\n

On Saturday<\/strong> , the sky over the entire territory of Ukraine will be overcast, but no precipitation is forecast. The main feature of the day will be the temperature difference between the regions.<\/p>\n

Eastern<\/strong> Ukraine \u2014 Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk regions \u2014 will experience a full-fledged winter for the first time. During the day, the temperature will range from -2 \u00b0C to +1 \u00b0C, and at night it will drop to -3 \u00b0C. Frosts will be stable, without rapid warming. No precipitation is expected, but ice formation is possible in the morning, so you should be careful on the roads.<\/p>\n

The central<\/strong> regions, in particular the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava and Cherkasy regions, will be on the verge of autumn and winter. The daytime temperature will not exceed +3 \u00b0C, light frosts will be recorded at night. Cloudy and dry, icing of the surface is possible in places due to the night minus.<\/p>\n

The western<\/strong> regions will be the warmest in the country. In Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Transcarpathia, daytime temperatures are expected to be +3\u2026+6 \u00b0C, and at night the temperature will remain close to zero. Frosts are not forecast, and there will be no precipitation, despite the cloudy weather.<\/p>\n

The south<\/strong> of Ukraine will experience a sharp cooling after the previous heat. In Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Crimea, the daytime temperature will remain +3\u2026+6 \u00b0C, and at night the temperature will drop to 0 \u00b0C. The largest drop will be recorded in the Kherson region: in the Berislav and Kakhovka districts the temperature will drop from +12 \u00b0C to +3\u20134 \u00b0C in just 24 hours. The day will pass without precipitation.<\/p>\n

On Sunday<\/strong> , the cloudiness will become variable, clearing will appear, and the temperature will rise slightly. However, slight precipitation is possible in the west.<\/p>\n

The eastern<\/strong> regions will be slightly relieved from the frost: 0\u2026+2 \u00b0C is expected during the day, although the cold will remain at -3 \u00b0C at night. The weather will be dry, with periodic clearings.<\/p>\n

The center<\/strong> of the country will experience the most noticeable daily drop in temperatures. During the day, the air will warm up to 0\u2026+4 \u00b0C, and at night \u2014 to -2 \u00b0C. A particularly sharp drop in temperature is predicted in Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol \u2014 from +9 \u00b0C to +1 \u00b0C, as well as in the Kherson region \u2014 from +11 \u00b0C to +3 \u00b0C. No precipitation is expected.<\/p>\n

Western<\/strong> Ukraine will retain relatively mild weather, but there will be surprises. During the day it will be +2\u2026+5 \u00b0C, at night – up to -1 \u00b0C. In Lviv and Drohobych, short-term precipitation is possible, mainly in the form of rain, but most of the region will remain dry.<\/p>\n

The south<\/strong> is gradually adapting to winter temperatures. +3\u2026+6 \u00b0C is expected during the day, and -1 \u00b0C at night. Odessa, Mykolaiv, and Crimea will spend Sunday without precipitation, with variable cloudiness. The temperature will stabilize after Saturday’s sharp cooling, although it will remain lower than recent indicators.<\/p>\n
