Norway has approved an aid package for Ukraine for 2026 in the amount of $8.2 billion. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called the decision an important signal to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Zelenskyy announced<\/a> this on the social network X.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to the president, the decision of the Norwegian parliament will significantly strengthen Ukraine’s ability to counter Russian aggression.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“Today, the Norwegian Parliament approved $8.2 billion in aid to Ukraine for 2026. Thank you to Prime Minister Jonas Gaard St\u00f8re, the Parliament, and all of Norway for this,” Zelensky wrote.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He also emphasized that Ukraine highly appreciates Norway’s long-term military and humanitarian support, which, according to him, is an example of leadership, dedication, and strategic reliability.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“Such contributions strengthen Ukraine’s ability to resist Russian aggression and send a clear signal to the Putin regime: Ukraine will continue to have the support of its allies, will be able to stop Russia, and restore lasting peace,” the president emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, Zelensky noted that each such step of support weakens Russia’s attempts to impose fear and confusion on Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

As previously reported, US President Donald Trump signed the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2026, providing $400 million in aid to Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n

Recall that the leaders of the European Union reached an agreement on large-scale financial support for Ukraine in 2026-2027.<\/a><\/p>\n
