Poland has denied the involvement of a 12-year-old Ukrainian girl in the murder of an 11-year-old schoolgirl in the city of Jelenia G\u00f3ra. Despite this, fake messages have spread on social media, causing a flurry of negative comments.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the spokeswoman of the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs, Karolina Halecka.<\/p>\n

It is noted that on December 15, Polish police reported the murder of an 11-year-old girl named Danusia near a school in the city of Jelenia G\u00f3ra. The next day, law enforcement officers detained the suspect in the crime, a 12-year-old student at the same school.<\/p>\n

Posts about the alleged involvement of a 12-year-old Ukrainian girl in the crime began to spread on social networks. The posts appeared on Facebook, X and TikTok and quickly gained views and shares, causing a negative reaction to Ukrainians. According to journalists from the Demagog<\/a> website, some posts have collected 50 thousand views and 1.5 thousand shares.<\/p>\n

However, Polish law enforcement officials denied information about the suspect’s Ukrainian citizenship.<\/p>\n

“The suspected 12-year-old girl from Jelenia G\u00f3ra is not Ukrainian. Spreading such a lie is deliberate disinformation that exploits the tragedy and incites hatred between Poland and Ukraine,” wrote Karolina Halecka, a spokeswoman for the Polish Interior Ministry.<\/p>\n

Demagog journalists noted that such posts are aimed at discrediting Ukrainians and inciting hatred against them among Polish citizens. From August to November 2025 alone, more than 186 thousand anti-Ukrainian posts were recorded on the network.<\/p>\n

“Fake reports about the alleged citizenship of the underage suspect can be used to spread anti-Ukrainian disinformation. All sensational news should be treated with caution and checked with reliable sources,” Demagog journalists emphasized.<\/p>\n

By the way, in Poland, law enforcement officers detained a man who threatened a Ukrainian saleswoman and made a Nazi gesture in a supermarket in the city of Gdynia<\/a> . The attacker was charged with threats based on nationality and public propaganda of the Nazi regime.<\/p>\n
