The Odesa and Mykolaiv regions are experiencing intensive attacks by Russian troops aimed at energy and critical infrastructure, which have led to a power outage in a significant part of the region – such systematic activities of the aggressor are aimed at destabilizing life in the region and spreading panic.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced<\/a> on the air of “Pryamoy” by Serhiy Bratchuk, spokesman for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army.<\/p>\n

According to him, the Russians are using southern Ukraine as a testing ground for new guided aerial bombs (GABs). At the same time, the enemy is launching drones from the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Kuban, seeking to exhaust Ukrainian air defenses and increase tensions among the population, Bratchuk added.<\/p>\n

“Unfortunately, the enemy has chosen a tactic that he has already used to try to exhaust our air defense system, keep people in suspense, and accordingly launches several drones from different locations,” the UDA spokesman noted.<\/p>\n

At the same time, constant air raids have become commonplace for the Odessa region. The destruction of facilities in the city of Yuzhne and targeted strikes on bridges in Zatoka and Mayaki confirm the enemy’s intentions to influence logistical routes, – Bratchuk is convinced<\/p>\n

Although local authorities and the government are working to provide assistance and alternative logistics, the studio guest emphasizes that the use of ballistic missiles with cluster warheads is an element of terror aimed at psychological pressure, therefore, to effectively counter these threats, it is extremely necessary to strengthen air defense means.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of December 19, Russian forces carried out another air strike on Odessa<\/a> , which damaged a critical energy infrastructure facility. The hit and the powerful shock wave caused serious damage to the civilian infrastructure of one of the most densely populated areas of the city.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the bridge near the settlement of Mayaki in the Odessa region has been subjected to more than 20 UAV attacks. Because of this, travel is currently impossible, but the authorities have deployed a pontoon bridge to ensure logistics. Over the past week , more than 500 attacks from various types of weapons<\/a> have been recorded. The main targets remain port infrastructure and logistics hubs. In addition, on the morning of December 20, the Russian occupiers attacked the port of Pivdenny<\/a> in the Odessa region. There are hits on tanks.<\/p>\n
