Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the progress of diplomatic work on possible peace talks during a conversation with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr St\u00f8re. According to him, Russia’s actions indicate a lack of real readiness for peace.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on a telephone conversation with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr St\u00f8re, during which the parties discussed the diplomatic work of recent days. The President noted that the Ukrainian team worked with the American side in Florida, and European representatives were also involved in the process.<\/p>\n

“We are moving quite quickly, and our team in Florida worked with the American side. European representatives were also invited. It is important that these negotiations are constructive, and much depends on Russia feeling the need to end the war in a real way, and this should not be a rhetorical or political game on the part of the Russian side,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n

The head of state stressed that the real signals from Russia remain negative. According to him, this concerns continued assaults on the front, war crimes in border areas, and attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure.<\/p>\n

“It is necessary that the whole world not remain silent about this,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.<\/p>\n

The President also thanked Norway for its continued support for Ukraine, including by pressuring Russia and helping to rebuild after infrastructure attacks. He particularly noted its support in the area of energy sustainability.<\/p>\n

“There is a common feeling that after the work of our diplomatic team in America, it would be worth holding consultations in a wider circle with European partners,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n
