The Ukrainian Defense Forces withdrew from the city of Siversk in the Donetsk region due to the enemy’s significant superiority in manpower and equipment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is noted that heavy fighting is currently taking place in the Siversk area, as a result of which the Russians are suffering significant losses. However, despite this, the occupiers have more resources.<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, in order to preserve the lives of Ukrainian military personnel and the combat capability of Defense Forces units, a decision was made to withdraw from the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ukrainian Defense Forces exhausted the enemy during the battles for Siversk, every meter of the city was given to the enemy at a high price,\u201d the General Staff emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

They explained that the Russian army was able to advance, taking advantage of its numerical advantage. The enemy pressed with small assault groups in difficult weather conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, Ukrainian defenders hold Siversk under their fire control.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the Defense Forces are striking and cutting off the logistics of the Russian units that have entered the settlement. The defense forces are also blocking the Russians to prevent them from further expanding their control.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The defense forces continue to carry out combat missions in the Slavyansk direction. All measures are being taken to reduce the offensive potential of enemy units and divisions,” the General Staff summarized.<\/span><\/p>\n
