On the night of December 24, a car exploded in Moscow under unclear circumstances. The incident occurred on Yaseneva Street, the same street where the car of Major General of the Russian Armed Forces Fanil Sarvarov was blown up a few days ago.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by Russian Telegram channels and local media.<\/p>\n

The first reports of the explosion appeared around 1 a.m. Kyiv time. Eyewitnesses wrote about at least two explosions near the police station, after which emergency services surrounded the area.<\/p>\n

According to the SHOT public, local residents heard two loud explosions, and some channels note that the location of the incident almost coincides with the location of the explosion of the Russian general’s car on December 22.<\/p>\n

Numerous police, ambulance and other emergency services arrived at the scene. Social media reported two injured people, one of whom was “lying on the ground with severe leg injuries,” while security forces prevented people from approaching the scene of the explosion.<\/p>\n

According to Baza and other Russian channels, both victims are police officers. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation confirmed that two traffic police officers were injured and hospitalized, their condition is assessed as serious.<\/p>\n

Previously, the cause of the explosion could have been an explosive device. According to one version, unknown persons threw it into the car, according to another, it was nearby and detonated at the moment when the police got into the car.<\/p>\n

“Previously, an unknown person threw an explosive package through the car window. Eyewitnesses said they saw two people running away,” reports SHOT.<\/p>\n

At the same time, a number of Russian media outlets reported the deaths of traffic police officers, but there is currently no official confirmation of this information.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the morning of December 22 , a Kia Sorento car exploded in a parking lot in the Moscow district of Orekhovo-Borisovo<\/a> . According to preliminary data, an improvised explosive device went off in the car.<\/p>\n
