In Kharkiv, during the alarm on December 24, a series of explosions were heard in the suburbs of the city. The enemy is attacking residential and critical facilities, including the CHP.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Kharkiv OVA and the city mayor Igor Terekhov.<\/p>\n

“One person died as a result of rocket strikes on the outskirts of Kharkiv. Another 11 people were injured to varying degrees. The injured have been hospitalized. All are receiving highly qualified medical care,” wrote the head of the OVA, Oleg Synegubov. He later added that the number of injured had increased to 13 people.<\/p>\n

Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov reported that Russian strikes on the CHP led to a significant drop in voltage in the city, which directly affected the heat supply and the operation of public transport. “Where it is technically possible, we are forced to switch to the “energy island” mode to minimize the consequences for Kharkiv residents,” Terekhov noted.<\/p>\n

Due to damage to the power system, the operation of electric transport in the Rohan, KhTZ, Novaya Bavaria and Kholodnaya Hora districts has been temporarily disrupted. Metro traffic has already been restored, and emergency outage schedules have been introduced by “Kharkivoblenergo”.<\/p>\n

The Air Force warned of high-speed targets in Kharkiv, and later the Kharkiv OVA confirmed that the strikes were carried out on the outskirts of the city.<\/p>\n

Repair crews are working to restore damaged equipment and stabilize the situation in the power system.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on December 24, the movement of metro trains was temporarily suspended in Kharkiv.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, emergency power outages have been introduced in a number of regions of Ukraine, and outage schedules are currently not in effect.<\/a><\/p>\n
