Businessman Timur Mindic has publicly commented for the first time on the NABU investigation into large-scale corruption and money laundering in the energy sector. He said he considers himself \u201cdesignated guilty\u201d due to media pressure and difficult circumstances.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by “Ukrainian Pravda”<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Journalists spoke with Timur Mindich in Israel, where he is currently staying. The businessman called the investigation against him the result of a “cool scenario” and stated that the media component dominated the case.<\/p>\n

According to Mindich, the so-called \u201cmedia case\u201d accounts for about 90% of the entire case. He is convinced that in recent years the media has formed a negative image, which is now being used by the investigation.<\/p>\n

“They are sculpting everything you want about me – things that never happened and could never happen. Now you can accuse me of anything you want – both in the war in Israel and everywhere,” said Timur Mindich.<\/p>\n

The businessman added that he was effectively \u201cdesignated guilty.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite public statements, Mindich refused to comment on the legal side of the case and the specific allegations of the NABU. He explained this by not wanting to worsen his situation.<\/p>\n

Mindich also reported that he is in Israel, where he moved his family due to difficult circumstances and significant psychological stress.<\/p>\n

Separately, the businessman commented on his relationship with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. According to him, during the term of the head of state, their communication was extremely rare, and currently there are no contacts.<\/p>\n

“Unfortunately, I communicate with him very rarely… and during the entire presidency, we communicated very rarely,” said Timur Mindi\u0107.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO are conducting a large-scale operation “Midas” to expose corruption in the energy sector<\/a> . According to the investigation, the activities of a high-level criminal organization were established, which controlled financial flows and personnel decisions in state energy structures.<\/p>\n

It is known that journalists from “Schemes” identified the names of individuals whom NABU detectives reported suspicious<\/a> as part of an investigation into corruption in the energy sector, including Timur Mindich.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Zelenskyy imposed NSDC sanctions against the co-owner of Kvartal-95 Timur Mindich and businessman Oleksandr Zukerman<\/a> , who are linked to a corruption case in the energy sector.<\/p>\n

As noted, the State Border Service conducted an official check and found out that businessman Timur Mindich legally left Ukraine<\/a> .<\/p>\n

By the way, an incomprehensible situation arose in the case of businessmen Timur Mindich and Oleksandr Zukerman’s departure abroad: the State Border Service of Ukraine refused to participate in the meeting of the Temporary Investigative Commission<\/a> , which was supposed to investigate this incident.<\/p>\n
