Starting January 1, 2026, the salaries of social workers in Ukraine will increase significantly. The increase will be made by applying a coefficient of 2.5 and will increase payments by approximately 150%.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

It is noted that the decision was made at the initiative of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine. The government approved the application of a coefficient of 2.5 when determining the size of the salaries of employees who provide social and rehabilitation services.<\/p>\n

The ministry emphasized that the availability and quality of assistance for people in need directly depend on social workers. The increase in wages is aimed at strengthening support for such workers.<\/p>\n

In particular, the official salary of a social manager of tariff category 15 will increase from UAH 8,243 to UAH 20,607. The official salary of a social work specialist of tariff category 12 will increase from UAH 6,773 to UAH 16,932.<\/p>\n

“The work of a social worker requires a great resource, which is measured not only by professionalism, but also by emotional inclusion, the ability to sympathize and help. Increasing the remuneration of social workers is a step towards fair support for those who support others every day,” said the Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine Denys Ulyutin.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine did not support the parliament’s proposal to increase teachers’ salaries to the level of three minimum salaries<\/a> . Despite the fact that the deputies included a corresponding amendment to the draft state budget for 2025, the government decided not to include it in the final document.<\/p>\n
