Russia has launched a drone attack on gas production facilities and one of Naftogaz of Ukraine Group’s thermal power plants. The company said emergency services are working in an intensified mode to restore stable system operation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> Oleksiy Koretsky, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

According to him, the strikes were carried out on gas and energy infrastructure facilities.<\/p>\n

“The Russians again attacked gas and energy infrastructure. They bombed the Naftogaz Group’s production facilities and CHP plants,” wrote Oleksiy Koretsky.<\/p>\n

He noted that these attacks could be synchronized with the cold snap. According to him, this is how Russia is trying to take advantage of the frost and peak load on the system.<\/p>\n

Koretsky reported that all emergency crews, technical services, and specialized units are involved in eliminating the consequences of the strikes and restoring damaged facilities.<\/p>\n

“We are acting in accordance with approved security protocols. The priority is the safety of people and the stability of the system,” said Oleksiy Koretsky.<\/p>\n

By the way, on the night of December 27, Russian troops carried out a massive air attack on Ukraine<\/a> , using cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as strike drones. The main direction of the attack was the Kyiv region.<\/p>\n
