Prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, together with NABU detectives, exposed an organized group of people’s deputies suspected of systematically receiving illegal benefits in a particularly large amount.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

On December 27, SAPO prosecutors, on the instructions of the department’s leadership, served suspicions on five people’s deputies of Ukraine. Their actions were classified under Part 3 of Article 28 and Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The investigation is investigating the possible creation of an organized group that included people’s deputies since 2021. According to law enforcement officials, the group members received illegal benefits for supporting or blocking draft laws and resolutions in the Verkhovna Rada.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, some of the defendants coordinated the actions of other deputies, informed them about the necessary votes, and were involved in receiving and distributing funds. The other participants were supposed to ensure voting discipline, be present in the session hall, and vote in accordance with instructions.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The amount of the illegal benefit depended on the so-called “voting efficiency indicator” and ranged from $2,000 to $20,000. According to the investigation, from September to November 2022, the payments amounted to about $2,000, and from August 2025, they increased to at least $5,000.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Law enforcement officers also recorded the receipt by one of the people’s deputies of an illegal benefit in the amount of at least 145 thousand US dollars from November to December of this year, with the subsequent distribution of funds among other members of the group.<\/p>\n

Currently, all suspected MPs have been served with requests for preventive measures. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and investigators are identifying the full range of individuals involved in the alleged criminal activity.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has declared another MP under suspicion in the case of systematic receipt of illegal benefits for voting in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As a reminder, detectives of the Main Detective Unit of the Bureau of Economic Security exposed a group of individuals who illegally used trademarks of international companies.<\/a><\/p>\n
