US Ambassador to the Russian Federation Douglas Dykehouse, on behalf of the American people, congratulated Russians on the upcoming New Year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He began his speech in Russian, later switching to English.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dykehouse emphasized that the \u201cspirit of this season\u201d encourages reflection, renewal, and hope.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a time when people around the world are thinking not only about the path they have already taken, but also about where to go next,\u201d the ambassador noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

He also mentioned the war in Ukraine, noting that recent years have brought divisions and losses. According to him, US President Donald Trump has consistently spoken about the need to end the Russian-Ukrainian war, and his administration is working to encourage dialogue and action.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHis commitment to diplomacy remains a beacon of hope for both our countries,\u201d Dyckhaus added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Separately, he noted that both Russians and Americans supposedly share deep traditions of resilience, creativity, and love for their country.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThese common threads can serve as the basis for building a shared, more peaceful future,\u201d the ambassador said.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end, he wished the citizens of the Russian Federation health, peace, and prosperity in the New Year in Russian.<\/span><\/p>\n
