A thaw is expected in Ukraine starting January 2, but before that, the country will still be covered by night frost.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by weather forecaster Natalka Didenko.<\/p>\n

On the night of January 2, the air temperature will drop to -6\u2026-15 degrees. It will be warmer in the south and western regions – from -1 to -5 degrees.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

On Thursday afternoon, temperatures in Ukraine are forecast to range from 2 degrees below zero to 3 degrees Celsius. In the south, the air will warm up to +3\u2026+6 degrees. Light snow is possible in the western and northern regions, while no precipitation is expected in the rest of the territory.<\/p>\n

The day will feature a strong southwest wind. In some places, storm gusts of 15-20 meters per second are possible. Such weather conditions are associated with the cyclone Tizian, which is currently over the Baltic Sea.<\/p>\n

It will also be windy in Kyiv on January 2. At night, the temperature will drop to -6…-9 degrees, and during the day it will warm up to zero. Light snow is possible in some places.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that gusty winds with dangerous gusts are expected in the western regions of Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n
