Two oil refineries were likely hit.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This is reported by Russian media.<\/p>\n<p> A series of explosions thundered over the city of Novokuybyshevsk, a fire was noticed in one of the districts. Monitoring channels report that the Novokuybyshevsk and Kuybyshevsk refineries may have been hit.<\/p>\n<p> As you know, the Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery is one of the key enterprises in the Samara region, and its capacity allows it to process up to 8.8 million tons of oil per year. The plant supplies fuel for various types of transport, as well as petrochemical products and lubricants. The defense forces have repeatedly attacked this facility.<\/p>\n<p> The Kuibyshev Refinery has a capacity to process about 7 million tons of oil per year and is one of the leading refineries in the Volga region. It is owned by the Russian state-owned company Rosneft and processes oil produced by the company in Western Siberia and the Samara region.<\/p>\n<p> The main products of the plant are motor gasoline and diesel fuel. The company also produces various types of fuel oil, kerosene, petroleum gases and organic solvents.
