Over the past day, 98 combat clashes were recorded on the front, while Russian troops significantly increased the intensity of fire, launching missile and massive air strikes, carrying out thousands of shelling attacks, and widely using kamikaze drones against positions of the Defense Forces and settlements in Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 8:00 a.m. on January 2.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile and 51 air strikes, used one missile and dropped 151 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 3,508 attacks, including 49 from multiple rocket launcher systems, and engaged 6,237 kamikaze drones for destruction.<\/p>\n

The settlements of Lisne in Kharkiv region; Zaliznychne, Svyatopetrivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Hulyaipole, Tsvitkove, Pryluky, Varvarivka in Zaporizhia region; and Prydniprovske in Kherson region were subjected to air strikes.<\/p>\n

Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery have struck four concentration areas and two enemy control points.
In the North Slobozhansk<\/strong> and Kursk<\/strong> directions last day, the enemy carried out an air strike, dropping one guided bomb and carrying out 77 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops.<\/p>\n

In the South Slobozhansk<\/strong> direction, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders three times in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk and Starytsia.<\/p>\n

No enemy offensive actions were recorded in the Kupyansk<\/strong> direction.<\/p>\n

In the Lyman<\/strong> direction, the enemy attacked 15 times, trying to penetrate our defenses in the areas of the settlements of Novovodyan, Myrne, Kolodyazi, Zarichne, Novoyehorivka, Novoselivka, and Yampil.<\/p>\n

In the Slavyansk<\/strong> direction, the Defense Forces stopped two offensive actions of the invaders in the areas of the settlements of Siversk and Sacco and Vanzetti.<\/p>\n

The enemy did not conduct any offensive operations in the Kramatorsk<\/strong> direction since the beginning of the day.<\/p>\n

In the Kostyantynivka<\/strong> direction, the enemy carried out 15 attacks in the areas of Oleksandro-Shultyny, Pleshchiivka, Rusyny Yar, Yablunivka, Shcherbinivka, and in the direction of the settlement of Torske.<\/p>\n

In the Pokrovsk<\/strong> direction, our defenders stopped 23 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Nove Shakhove, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske and towards Novopavlivka.<\/p>\n

In the Oleksandrivka<\/strong> direction, the enemy yesterday carried out 12 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Zeleny Hai, Oleksandrograd, Vorone, Verbove, Vyshneve, and Rybne.<\/p>\n

In the Hulyaipol<\/strong> direction, our defenders stopped 14 enemy attempts to advance in the areas of the settlements of Solodke, Hulyaipol, and towards Zelenye.<\/p>\n

In the Orikhiv<\/strong> direction, the invader twice attacked the positions of our units in the direction of Primorske.<\/p>\n

In the Dnieper<\/strong> direction, Ukrainian units repelled two Russian attacks in the direction of the Antoniv Bridge.<\/p>\n

No signs of the formation of offensive groups of the aggressor were detected in the Volyn<\/strong> and Polissya<\/strong> directions.<\/p>\n
