In the Pokrovska area of Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian defenders continue to repel attacks by Russian troops. They hold positions in the city center and conduct active search and assault operations to eliminate the enemy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to<\/a> the Group of Forces “East”, as of 10:00 on January 2, Ukrainian troops had repelled 43 attacks by the Russian occupiers. The greatest enemy activity was observed near the settlements of Nove Shakhove, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske and in the direction of Novopavlivka. During this time, the enemy suffered significant losses: 46 soldiers were killed, 12 were wounded.<\/p>\n

In addition, Ukrainian units destroyed 35 drones, 9 vehicles, 2 artillery installations, 3 drone control antennas, and one ground robotic complex. Additionally, two more vehicles, a multiple launch rocket system, a ground robotic complex, and seven enemy shelters were hit.<\/p>\n

In Pokrovsk itself, Ukrainian troops control the north of the city, blocking enemy attempts to advance to the center. Search and assault operations are underway to eliminate concentrations of occupiers in the city’s buildings.<\/p>\n

In Myrnograd, despite the complicated logistics, the defense forces are holding their positions and destroying the enemy on the approaches. Additional forces and equipment have been transferred here to strengthen the group, and measures are underway to expand logistical corridors.<\/p>\n

According to the “East” Group, the enemy is suffering significant losses: 299 soldiers and 112 pieces of equipment, including two tanks, were eliminated in 24 hours. 1,166 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed.<\/p>\n

The Ukrainian military is paying special attention to destroying drone operators. Over the past 24 hours, 62 Russian UAV crews have been hit, significantly reducing the enemy’s effectiveness in the air.<\/p>\n

We remind you that over the past 24 hours, 98 combat clashes were recorded on the front<\/a> , while Russian troops significantly increased the intensity of fire, launching missile and massive air strikes, carrying out thousands of shellings, and widely using kamikaze drones against positions of the Defense Forces and settlements of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
