The Venezuelan government has declared a state of emergency in the country due to the American attack.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to The Guardian<\/a> , in a statement released on Saturday morning, the Venezuelan government confirmed that the capital, Caracas, as well as the states of Miranda, La Guaira and Aragua, had been attacked.<\/p>\n

“The Bolivarian Government calls on all social and political forces in the country to activate mobilization plans and condemn this imperialist attack,” the statement said.<\/p>\n

President Nicolas Maduro declared a state of emergency in the country. He “ordered the implementation of all national defense plans” and declared a “state of foreign intervention.”<\/p>\n

The Venezuelan government has accused the United States of risking plunging Latin America into chaos.<\/p>\n

“The sole purpose of this attack is to seize control of Venezuela’s strategic resources, including oil and minerals,” the statement said.<\/p>\n

Caracas called on the international community to condemn “a gross violation of international law that puts millions of lives at risk.”<\/p>\n

Recall that US President Donald Trump ordered strikes on targets inside Venezuela<\/a> on Saturday, January 3. <\/p>\n
