President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko on the security situation and development of the State Border Service of Ukraine. Candidates for the position of the new head of the State Border Service of Ukraine were identified, the appointment will take place soon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The meeting discussed the current security situation in the regions and the progress of liquidating the consequences of Russian strikes. The President thanked the State Emergency Service of Ukraine for its clear work in liquidating the consequences of the shelling.<\/p>\n

Zelenskyy stressed the importance of coordinated work of border guards together with other components of the Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

“Border guards are successfully carrying out combat missions together with all other security forces of Ukraine,” Zelensky said.<\/p>\n

The President and the Minister of Internal Affairs have identified candidates for the position of the new head of the State Border Service.<\/p>\n

“The appointment will take place soon. Glory to Ukraine!”, Zelenskyy concluded.<\/p>\n

As is known, the head of the State Border Service of Ukraine was Serhiy Vasylyovych Deineko, who was appointed advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n

Serhiy Deineko<\/strong> – was born on April 5, 1975 in the city of Birobidzhan, Jewish Autonomous Oblast, and is a participant in hostilities in eastern Ukraine. For his service, he was awarded the medal “For Military Service to Ukraine” and the award of the President of Ukraine “For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation”, a full cavalier of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky. He is married, has a son and a daughter.<\/p>\n

He received his education at the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Academy of Border Troops of Ukraine, the Joint Institute of Military Intelligence at the National Defense Academy of Ukraine, and Uzhhorod National University. He also took courses in strategic management and senior strategic management at the National Defense University of Ukraine. Candidate of Sciences in Public Administration.<\/p>\n

He began his service in the border units in 1996. He held the positions of Chief of the Luhansk Border Detachment, Deputy Chief of the Eastern and Southern Regional Departments of the State Border Service of Ukraine, and since November 2014, Deputy Director of the Department of Operational Activities of the State Border Service of Ukraine. On June 13, 2019, he was appointed Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

On the eve of the herd it is known that the former head of the State Border Service Serhiy Deinek was appointed advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine<\/a> , in addition, after a short rehabilitation, he will also become the commander of a combat unit of the State Border Service.<\/p>\n

We will remind that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced possible personnel changes in the leadership of the State Border Service<\/a> . In the near future, the Minister of Internal Affairs will present candidates to replace the head of the State Border Service.<\/p>\n
