The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published<\/a> operational information as of 08:00 on January 5, 2026 regarding the Russian invasion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In total , 229 combat clashes<\/strong> were recorded over the past 24 hours. Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck nine areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, three artillery systems, an electronic warfare (EW) device, and two enemy UAV control points.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 62 air strikes, dropped 185 guided bombs and used one missile. In addition, it carried out 4,016 attacks, including 84 from multiple rocket launchers, and used 5,232 kamikaze drones to destroy them. The air strikes affected, in particular, the areas of the settlements of Velykymykhaylivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Orikhiv, Preobrazhenka, Pryluky, and Zelene in the Zaporizhia region.<\/p>\n

In the North Slobozhansk<\/strong> and Kursk<\/strong> directions, the enemy carried out 99 attacks, including one from multiple launch rocket systems.<\/p>\n

In the South Slobozhansk<\/strong> direction, our troops stopped eight enemy attacks in the areas of Vovchansk, Starytsia, Prylipka, Figolivka, and towards Izbitsky and Kutkivka.<\/p>\n

Three attacks by the invaders took place in the Kupyansk<\/strong> direction yesterday. Our defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the areas of Stepovaya Novoselivka, Pershotravneve, and towards Petropavlivka.<\/p>\n

In the Lyman<\/strong> direction, the enemy attacked ten times, trying to penetrate our defenses near the settlements of Novoselivka, Kolodyazne, and Torske.<\/p>\n

In the Slavyansk<\/strong> direction, the Defense Forces repelled six enemy attacks near Dronivka, Siversk, and Svyato-Pokrovsky.<\/p>\n

In the Kramatorsk<\/strong> direction, one combat clash occurred near the settlement of Stupochky.<\/p>\n

In the Kostyantynivka<\/strong> direction, the enemy carried out 18 attacks in the areas of Pleshchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultyny, Rusyny Yar, Yablunivka, and towards Sofiivka.<\/p>\n

In the Pokrovsk<\/strong> direction, our defenders stopped 54 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Myrnograd, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske and towards Novopavlivka.<\/p>\n

In the Oleksandrivka<\/strong> direction, the enemy yesterday carried out 24 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Zeleny Hai, Oleksandrovka, Sosnivka, Vorone, Oleksiivka, Vyshneve, Solodke, and Yehorivka.<\/p>\n

In the Hulyaipil<\/strong> direction, the Defense Forces repelled 65 Russian attacks in the areas of Zelenye, Hulyaipil, Varvarivka, Dorozhnyanka, and towards Svyatopetrivka.<\/p>\n

In the Orikhiv<\/strong> direction, the enemy made eight attempts to break through the defenses of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Plavni, Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaki, and Stepove.<\/p>\n

No enemy offensive actions were observed in the Dnieper<\/strong> direction.<\/p>\n

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn<\/strong> and Polissya<\/strong> directions.<\/p>\n

It is worth adding that in total, the losses of the Russian invaders over the past day amounted to 990 people<\/a> . Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized eight tanks, two armored combat vehicles, 29 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, 704 unmanned aerial vehicles of the operational-tactical level, 169 units of automobiles and one unit of special equipment of the invaders.<\/p>\n
