A traffic accident involving 2 cars occurred in the Zolochiv district of Lviv region on January 4. The collision injured 4 people, including 11-year-old and 17-year-old boys.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the Lviv region police<\/a> .<\/p>\n

The traffic accident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. on the Brody-Ternopil highway near the village of Hai.<\/p>\n

According to preliminary data from law enforcement officers, a collision occurred between a Renault Megane Scenic driven by a 43-year-old resident of Brody and a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 46-year-old resident of Brody.<\/p>\n

The accident injured the drivers of both vehicles, as well as the passengers of the Renault Megane Scenic, aged 11 and 17. All the injured were taken to medical facilities.<\/p>\n

“As a result of the accident, the drivers of both vehicles, as well as the passengers of the Renault Megane Scenic, aged 11 and 17, received injuries and were hospitalized,” law enforcement officials reported.<\/p>\n

Investigators of Police Department No. 1 of the Zolochiv District Police Department have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Law enforcement officers are currently establishing all the circumstances and causes of the traffic accident.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that in Kyiv, police detained a 32-year-old man from Poltava region<\/a> who, while intoxicated, illegally took possession of a bus and caused an accident. The offender was notified of suspicion and faces up to eight years in prison.<\/p>\n

By the way, a traffic accident occurred in Zolotonosha on Nezalezhnosti Street, as a result of which a 31-year-old driver of a Toyota car died<\/a> , and two passengers were injured and hospitalized. The police have opened a criminal case on the fact of violation of traffic safety rules, which caused the death of a person.<\/p>\n
