In Ukraine, from January 1, 2026, state assistance at the birth of a child has been increased to 50,000 hryvnias, and the cost of the Baby Package is 8,451 hryvnias. You can apply for payments through the “Diya” portal or at a Pension Fund branch, even if the child was born abroad.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is noted that from now on, one of the child’s guardians can apply for assistance for a newborn through the “Diya” portal. In the case of a child’s birth abroad, it is necessary to submit official birth documents from the country of residence.<\/p>\n

For children born before January 1, 2026, the benefit is 41,280 hryvnias: 10,320 hryvnias are paid immediately, and the remaining amount is paid monthly for 3 years.<\/p>\n

For children on full state support, funds are kept on deposit until they reach adulthood.<\/p>\n

“Already about 600 thousand families have used eMalyatk. With one request, you can issue up to 7 public services,” the ministry noted.<\/p>\n

The baby package includes essential items for the baby and is provided once after birth. The assistance and package are aimed at providing the basic needs of newborns and simplifying procedures for parents.<\/p>\n

In accordance with current regulations, parents or guardians can choose the method of receiving assistance: in cash or through a bank account, which ensures the convenience of receiving funds in any region of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

As you know, a law on a one-time state allowance for the birth of a child in the amount of 50 thousand hryvnias came into force in Ukraine on January 1.<\/a> There are two ways to make a payment – through the Pension Fund of Ukraine or using digital services.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft law on family assistance before and after childbirth<\/a> . The law provides for an increase in a one-time payment to women after childbirth from UAH 10.3 thousand to UAH 50 thousand.<\/p>\n

It is worth adding that several key rules have changed for Ukrainians since January 1, 2026.<\/a> The innovations will affect gas payments, taxes for individual entrepreneurs, conditions for reservation from mobilization, and pension indexation.<\/p>\n
