Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine has detained a mobilized serviceman from Dnipro who was coordinating air strikes by Russian troops on the Dnipropetrovsk region. The perpetrator has been charged with treason and faces life imprisonment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the press service<\/a> of the SBU.<\/p>\n

The investigation established that the man was recruited by an FSB officer in the fall of 2025. The agent came to the attention of the occupiers after publishing pro-Kremlin comments on Telegram channels.<\/p>\n

After being recruited, he was mobilized to a rear military unit to collect intelligence for Russian special services. The attacker passed on to the enemy the coordinates of temporary bases of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard, from which missile and drone attacks were planned.<\/p>\n

“The extra was filming military facilities on camera and marking their geolocations for transmission to the Russian Federation,” the SBU noted.<\/p>\n

He soon left the unit on his own and reported his location to the FSB. The SBU counterintelligence documented his actions and took measures to secure the Defense Forces locations.<\/p>\n

The suspect was detained at the residence of his relatives, where he was hiding from justice. During the searches, a smartphone containing evidence of working for the enemy was seized.<\/p>\n

“The attacker was notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the SBU reported.<\/p>\n

The complex measures were carried out by SBU officers in the Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor’s office. The perpetrator is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.<\/p>\n

By the way , a guy was detained in Kyiv who, for a reward, collected and transmitted data on energy facilities<\/a> located in the capital. Earlier, the SBU and the National Police detained two foreigners<\/a> who were recruited by the Russian GRU to commit arson in western Ukraine.<\/p>\n

As a reminder,the SBU detained a Russian corrections officer in Bukovina<\/span><\/a> who was preparing new Russian strikes on Chernivtsi.<\/span><\/p>\n
