On the night of January 6, air defense forces destroyed and suppressed 53 enemy drones that Russia used to attack Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by<\/a> the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The attack began at around 6:00 p.m. on January 5. The enemy used 61 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones. Launches were recorded from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, Orel, as well as from the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region. About 40 drones belonged to the Shahed type.<\/p>\n

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

As of 08:30, air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 53 enemy drones in the north, center, and east of the country. At the same time, eight strike UAVs were recorded being hit in six locations. <\/p>\n

It was previously reported that over the course of 24 hours on January 5, the Ukrainian military destroyed 940 occupiers, five tanks, and 46 enemy artillery systems.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, Russian troops are not reducing the intensity of attacks along the entire front line. Fighting continued in almost all directions, with the fiercest clashes recorded in eastern and southern Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n
