The Security Service of Ukraine has detained an FSB agent who was preparing a missile strike on the Kropyvnytskyi thermal power plant. The suspect turned out to be a 16-year-old resident of Kropyvnytskyi.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the minor acted on the instructions of the Russian special services and was supposed to install a GPS tracker disguised as snow on the territory of the CHP. With the help of this device, Russian troops planned to strike the energy facility in order to leave the city without electricity and heating. <\/p>\n

SBU officers uncovered the plot in advance and detained the girl at night near the fence of the thermal power plant when she tried to activate the digital “beacon”.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The investigation found that the FSB recruited the minor through a Telegram channel with offers of “easy money.” Initially, the supervisors instructed her to film military and critical infrastructure facilities and transfer the recordings to the Russian special service. <\/p>\n

Later, the girl received the task of preparing a strike on one of the largest thermal and electrical generation facilities in the region. The funds for the purchase of a GPS tracker were transferred from Russia to her bank card. She ordered the device from an online store and picked it up at the post office.<\/p>\n

During the searches, a smartphone containing evidence of cooperation with the FSB was seized from the detainee.<\/p>\n

SBU investigators informed the defendant of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – high treason committed under martial law. She is currently in custody. The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police detained a Russian agent who blew up a Ukrainian military vehicle in the Obolonskyi district of Kyiv.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a mobilized serviceman from Dnipro who was correcting air strikes by Russian troops on the Dnipropetrovsk region.<\/a><\/p>\n
