Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope that the war unleashed by Russia will end in 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said this during the opening ceremony of the Cyprus presidency of the Council of the EU.<\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, Zelenskyy assessed the progress in the process of peaceful resolution of the war, stating that the negotiations had reached a new level of intensity.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are working very actively: Ukraine, our European partners, and, of course, the United States and all members of our \u2018coalition of the willing\u2019 \u2014 from Canada to Japan, from the United States to Australia,\u201d the president said.<\/span><\/p>\n

He suggested that the war could be ended during Cyprus’ presidency of the European Council, which will last until June 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recall that, according to the assessments of the US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, after the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in France, there has been significant progress in resolving the war<\/a> in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

As is known, the draft communiqu\u00e9 of the Coalition of the Willing meeting states that the United States will help ensure a ceasefire in Ukraine<\/a> through intelligence and logistics.<\/p>\n
