Sharon Stone and other Hollywood stars buy his paintings, but he wants to share his art with Ukrainians. Young Ukrainian artist Artur Soletsky\u00a0 <\/span>is bringing her exhibition “Tricks of Memories” to Kyiv residents and visitors from January 21st at the Kyiv History Museum.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This isn’t just an exhibition\u2014it’s a space where the viewer finds themselves face-to-face with what they usually don’t have time to articulate: unfinished thoughts, internal cracks, memories without clear names. Painting and sculpture work together here, creating an environment that’s lived, not explanatory. Memory isn’t preserved as a whole. It fractures, shifts, and returns in fragments.<\/p>\n

Fragments of Memories is a story without plot or biographies. A man and a woman appear as universal images of human experience\u2014beyond time, age, and specific events. Recurring symbols\u2014an airplane, a house, an apple, a sword\u2014have no fixed meaning. They respond to the viewer, revealing themselves through each viewer’s personal associations. It’s a wordless diary, which each person reads in their own way and unconsciously adds to.<\/p>\n

Artur Soletsky works with form as a force of influence. His art is not limited to images\u2014it creates spatial tension, a sense of pressure, or, conversely, deep immersion. The artist thinks in terms of installation and environment, where the viewer becomes part of the work rather than an outside observer.<\/p>\n

Soletsky is one of the Ukrainian artists whose visual language is well-known among private collectors in Europe and the United States. His works are included in international collections, and his exhibitions have been presented abroad on numerous occasions. At the same time, the artist consistently brings his most important projects back to Ukraine, engaging with the local context and a vibrant, unfiltered audience. The paradox of his practice is simple and powerful: the world buys him, but he speaks first and foremost to us.<\/p>\n

The organizers emphasize: “MEMORIAL TRAPS” is an invitation to pause. Not to consume art, but to allow it to act as an internal map\u2014where meaning is not imposed, but is found in the present moment. <\/p>\n
